Suburban Estates land ad from 1971

Postby TheLastTruth » Sun May 13, 2012 1:21 am

A friend of mine just purchased five acres of land from a lady in Massachusetts and she kept this literature from 1971 and sent it to him at the sale. It is fun to look at and think back to the days when the Yankees were getting a deal on fine Florida land.

Good it worked .... pdf files have better detail but these pictures are scanned in from a leaflet so the ink is clear and you can still read the text well as a jpeg. I hope.

Isn't that something how the sales leaflet shows you a picture of a nice landscaped home and then goes on to tell you how you can't build in the Estates. The picture burns in the brain and the Yankees took it hook, line and sinker.
Now the fun starts ...... The lady in Massachusetts send my friend a map of Suburban Estates from 1971. The map shows three roads into the Estates. She had some hand notes penciled in showing her land and how to drive there. The old lady (she has to be as she purchased the land in 1971) had never seen the plot.
I wonder how many people spent hours dreaming over a map like this.
The map was much too big for my scanner so I did it three times to get all the map in view. Enjoy.
