Getting Gps coordinates, Labins problem??

Postby Dustman28 » Sun May 23, 2010 11:40 am

I have used the instructions on this site to get Gps coords for land in the past using the Labins system. Its been helpful to avoid the high and dry that is really swamp for sale on craigslist etc. Anyway, I havn't been able to get the labins.org site to work for me for some months now and was wondering if there is another program/site available? Thanks for any help. I see the osceola prop app. is linked to microsoft earth now but that isnt helping either.

Post the PCN# and I will try to help you. Did you already buy the lot or are you trying to locate a dry lot before you buy?

Actually the property appraiser site provides great arieal photos, its just I cant get the labins site to work for osceola county anymore, at least not without a lot of scrolling around. No I haven't bought a lot yet, simply researching them, the photos are nice, I just would like to go the the exact spot before I buy anything. So if anyone knows what im doing wrong on the labins site (like I say it used to work for me) or another site that works better let me know. I research so many parcels I would drive someone nuts if they were to help me. What would be nice is a KML parcel id# overlay in Google earth. I might have Gearth pro but im not that bright.

I tried labins the other night too and couldn't get it to work either. they've changed things around and when I tried following the "directions" (which I have used several times before), I couldn't get parcel info to come up; got tired and shut it down.

Labins DOES still work, although they have changed things around. I will make a new instructional post in a little bit, complete with screen captures to walk you through it, with the updated info.
